Commercial Radon Testing for the Colorado Springs Area

Commercial radon testing follows EPA protocols but is scaled to accommodate larger spaces and multiple testing zones within your business property. ExperTech Environmental's NRPP-certified technicians use professional-grade continuous radon monitors strategically placed throughout your commercial building, typically on the lowest occupied level and in areas where employees or customers spend significant time. For larger commercial properties, multiple monitors may be deployed across different zones, floors, or sections to provide comprehensive coverage and accurate readings. After the testing period, ExperTech analyzes the data from each location and provides a detailed report showing radon levels in picocuries per liter (pCi/L) for each tested area, along with recommendations if levels exceed the EPA's action level of 4.0 pCi/L.

Commercial radon testing takes place in the lowest occupied levels of your business and in areas where employees, customers, or visitors spend regular time. This typically includes ground-floor offices, basement workspaces, conference rooms, retail spaces, storage areas used by staff, daycare classrooms, and any other regularly occupied areas below the third floor (since radon levels typically decrease on higher floors). ExperTech Environmental's technicians follow EPA guidelines for commercial testing, which may require multiple testing locations throughout larger buildings to ensure comprehensive coverage. For businesses with multiple floors or separate wings, testing devices are strategically distributed to capture radon levels across all occupied zones. Special attention is given to spaces like break rooms, reception areas, and workstations where people spend extended periods. Schools and daycare facilities require testing in all frequently used ground-contact rooms. ExperTech's certified professionals assess your specific building layout during the free onsite consultation to determine optimal testing locations that meet regulatory requirements and provide accurate risk assessment.

Commercial radon testing is designed to minimize disruption to your normal business operations. ExperTech Environmental works with your schedule to conduct testing during times that work best for your business, and the process requires very little involvement from you or your staff once the monitors are in place. The testing devices are compact, quiet, and unobtrusive—they can be placed in offices, workspaces, or common areas without interfering with daily activities. There's no noise, construction, or need to relocate employees during testing.
